Anne R. Aubel 1929-2025

Anne Renee was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Youngstown, a daughter to August and Mary Price Drevet.

She first worked at Lepore’s grocery store in Girard and then dedicated 28 years as a school bus driver for Liberty schools. She was a former member of the Liberty Band Boosters and was in charge of the concession stand at football games for several years.

Anne Renee was a member of Central Christian Church in Warren and was previously an active member of the Girard Senior Citizens.

Anne Renee was married to the late Harold R. Aubel, whom she married Aug. 7, 1948, and who passed away Aug. 25, 1995. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, August P. Drevet of Boardman; and her oldest son, Harold C. Aubel of Tampa, Florida.

Anne Renee leaves two sons, Wayne (Jeannette) Aubel of Girard and Keith (Rhoda) Aubel of Youngstown; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Anne Renee will be laid to rest in Tod Homestead Cemetery next to her husband.

The family requests any monetary contributions to go to Central Christian Church, Warren, memorial fund or Hospice of the Valley.
