Anna M. Stewart 1934-2025

Anna Mae was born on March 10, 1934, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late William and Nina Garrett.

She was a graduate of Lumberport High School in Lumberport, West Virginia.

She loved reading, playing Bingo, embroidery and making beautiful ceramics.

She was a busy mom who loved raising her family and working.

Anna Mae will be deeply missed by her loving children, Jimmy (Ellen) Stewart and Terri Donahue; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Buster “Jack” Stewart, whom she married on Feb. 7, 1953, and who passed away on June 26, 2001; daughter, Shirley Wett; four brothers; and two sisters.

Family and friends may visit from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 North High St., Cortland. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Meadowbrook Memorial Park, Champion.
