Nancy M. Cooper 1932-2025
WARREN — Nancy M. Cooper, 92, passed away peacefully into eternal rest, Sunday Jan. 19, 2025, at Windsor House in Champion.
She was born Oct. 6, 1932, in Warren, the daughter of the late Harold Wilbur Meredith and Virginia Winona Hart Meredith.
Nancy graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1950. She then married the love of her life, Donald Luke Cooper, on July 12, 1953. They enjoyed 71 years of marriage together until his death, Sept. 3, 2024, living in Warren for over 40 years.
She worked for three years as a bookkeeper for Second National Bank in Newton Falls and for over 20 years at Trumbull Saving and Loan, retiring in 1982.
Nancy enjoyed baking and reading, and when she was younger, playing her cello and participating in church activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; one brother, Harry Meredith; one infant baby sister; and one grandson, Clifford Cooper.
Nancy is survived by one daughter, Pamela (Mike) Talanca of Newton Falls; two sons, Bruce (Debbie) Cooper of Newton Falls and Scott (Kim) Cooper of Warren; six grandchildren, Alex (Elizabeth) Cooper, Eric (Cassandra) Cooper, Michael Talanca, Bernadetta (Rett) Watts, Jaynie (Erik) Hansen and Mark (Elizabeth) Cooper; one granddaughter-in-law, Sarah Cooper; and nine great-grandchildren, Sierra Cooper, Presley Cooper, AJ Cooper, Otto Cooper, Maeve Cooper, Berkley Cooper, Haddie Cooper, Avery Hansen and Joel Hansen.
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, with calling hours 10 a.m. to noon, at the James Funeral Home, Newton Falls, with Pastor Jim Garber officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband and grandson in Newton Falls Cemetery.
