John C. Porter
WARREN — John C. Porter, 71, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at his home with his wife and sister by his side, due to complications of pneumococcal pneumonia.
He was born Sept. 16, 1953, in Oil City, Pa., the only son of the late John C. Porter and Lillian V. Arnold Porter.
John was a graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, Class of 1971. He worked 34 years at Delphi Packard Electric, retiring in April 2003.
He married the love of his life, Sharon S. Phillips, on June 23, 1973; they shared 51 years together.
He was of the Methodist faith.
John loved sailboats, lighthouses, trains, camping, and most of all, his dogs, Chrissy, Ricci, Brodie and Brandi, who will be waiting to greet him at the Rainbow Bridge.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sister, Susan (Roman Jr.) Dann; niece, Amity Diaz of California and her children, Danyaile Ludwick, Mason and Isaiah Diaz; and niece, Courtney Dann of Warren and her children, McKenzie Sherard and Elijah Joy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Corabeth Moore.

Per John’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.
Entombment will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
