Susan Jane Garner 1941-2024

She was born Nov. 20, 1941, in Auburn, Ohio, a daughter of the late William Jennings Bryan Miller and the late Elizabeth J. Helmuth Miller.

Sue was a graduate of Burton High School class of 1959. She worked as a salesperson at Empire Today for over 30 years. Susan enjoyed watching the news and “The Voice,” gardening, being at the beach and her dog, Scooby. Most of all she loved being a “Mimi” to all her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Bruce Byler; sister, Mary Hurley of Chagrin Falls; grandchildren, Christopher Richards, Morgann Fabrizio, Jordynn Richards, Dylan Byler, Tayler Myer and Carter Myer; as well as great-grandchildren, Madilyn Bryant, Rowen Porter and Lydia Jane Myer, as well as one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Bryan Byler; daughters, Michelle Richards and Deanna Elizabeth Myer; brothers, Daniel E. Miller, William J.B. Miller Jr. and Ralph E. Miller; and her grandson, Corey Zack Bettick.

Services will be held for Susan and her daughter, Deanna Myer at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
