Nancy J. Moser 1944-2024

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Nancy J. Moser, 80, passed peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at home, with her children by her side, after a short illness.

Born in Salem on April 9, 1944, to the late Marvin E. Whaley and the late Willie Mae Edward Whaley, Nancy was married to Robert E. Moser of Greenville, Pa., for 31 years.

She was a 1962 graduate of Newton Falls High School and retired from Packard Electric in 1997, after 32 years.

Nancy spent her retirement bowling with her sisters, working as a transportation/classroom aide in the special needs department of Reynolds School District, volunteering at the Good Shepherd Center and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Whaley; and two sisters, Marilyn Moore and Phyllis Sprankle.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Moser Sr. and Jodi Coppenger (Jeff). She was Grammie to Jeffrey Moser Jr. (Lexie), Heath Coppenger (Courtney), Hayleigh Coppenger (Ben) and Jacob Moser; and GiGi to Owen, Cooper and Paisley Moser, and Everleigh Coppenger.

She was also survived by her three siblings, Charlotte Perry, Carol Guerrero and Marshall Whaley.

Per Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life service will be at 12:30 p.m., with calling hours from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Center, 35 S. Water St., Greenville, PA 16125, in her memory.
