Jayne E. O’Neal 1945-2024
WARREN — Jayne Elizabeth O’Neal entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at St Joseph Warren Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Herman and Vita Scollo Walker.
A 1963 graduate of Newton Falls High School, she was employed at Packard Electric most of her life.
Jayne was a member of First Baptist Church of Howland, where she taught adult Bible study. She was extremely smart and highly competitive. She enthusiastically completed crossword puzzles, and it didn’t matter if you were 7 or 70, she reveled in beating you at Scrabble. When she wasn’t playing mahjong with her friends, she could be found gardening or cooking; she was great at both.
Precious memories of Jayne live on with her four children, Angela (Sanjay) Amin of Locust Fork, Alabama, Elizabeth (William) BuCher of Warren, Nikki Stamos of Howland and Nathan (Corraine) Goldberg of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren, Alexa (Matthew) Lageson of Cleveland, Jayden and Jaclyn Stamos of Howland, Emily (Jonathan) Booker of Nashville, Mira and Jaynie Amin of Alabama and David, Daniel and Haylie Goldberg, all of Cincinnati; one great-granddaughter, who is on her way and that Jayne was so excited to meet; four sisters, Barbara (Glenn) Haake of Cortland, Corine Kuchenbecker of Florida, Pam (Dave) Evans of Paris Township and Cindy Gray of Florida; a brother, Gerald (Estelle) Walker of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews, who were each told they were her favorite.
Visiting hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
Arrangements are entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated to serving your loved ones. This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
