Dolores, affectionately known as “Aunt Dee,” was born Oct. 4, 1950, in Cadogan, Pa., a daughter of the late Julius Ryznar and Marie Joseph D’Hondt Ryznar. She moved to Niles as a child and made the Mahoning Valley her lifelong home. Dolores spent her later years at Victoria House Assisted Living, enjoying the company of fellow residents and her caretakers. She could often be found sitting on the porch and spending time with her sister.
She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Class of 1968, and worked diligently throughout her life. She held positions at Northside Hospital, Packard Electric and Old Country Buffet, where she was known for her warm smile and kind spirit.
Dee was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles and also attended St. Christine Church. Delores was an accomplished sketch artist who enjoyed the simple joys of life. Her gentle disposition and generous spirit made those around her feel welcomed and loved. She was a lover of animals, theater, outdoor concerts at Mill Creek Park and sweet treats — especially Diet Coke and milkshakes.
