Teresa Bickerstaff Barbe 1965-2024

Teresa was born July 23, 1965, in Niles, the daughter of Robert Libertyn and Angela Libertyn Adams Covert.

She attended Niles City Schools, Class of 1983. She married her first husband, John Bickerstaff, with whom she had two children, Robert Tyler and Tiffani Nicole Bickerstaff; they were her life.

She worked several places before finding her dream job at the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities. She loved driving buses and working with the handicapped for many years. She also loved working for Russo’s Pizza in Mineral Ridge.

She married her second husband, Ron Barbe, of Mineral Ridge. They moved to Florida in 2019. Teresa called South Daytona, Florida, home for the past four years as they made Florida their primary home while maintaining their “vacation home,” their residence in Vienna.

Theresa was preceded in death by both parents, Robert and Angela.

She leaves behind her husband, Ron Barbe of South Daytona; her two children, Robert Tyler Bickerstaff (Abby) of Niles and Tiffani Nicole Bickerstaff of Vienna; three stepsons, Nicholas Barbe (Tivoli) of Brookfield, Kristopher Barbe of Rockhill, South Carolina, and Michael Barbe of Youngstown; two grandsons, Teagen Barbe and Tanner Barbe of Brookfield; and aunt, Mickey Gottardo (Lino) of New Jersey.

Her wishes were to have no viewing or calling hours; instead, there will be graveside services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, in Sager Cemetery, Bristolville. Anyone who wishes is invited to come and celebrate her life. A luncheon gathering at the old firehouse in the center of Bristolville will follow the graveside service.
