Mary Kistler 1926-2024
LAS VEGAS — Mary Kistler passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Avenir Memory Center.
She was born July 19, 1926, in Warren, the daughter of the late John Sotak and Mary Sotak.
Mary retired from Trumbull Lamp in Warren. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes, baking, playing cards, bowling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Kathy) of Howland, David (Lorrie) of Las Vegas and Sharin Marcu (Gary) of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, Joseph Kistler (Jill), Nicole Bello (Tim), Lindsey Kistler, Brian (April) and Christopher Marcu (Jodie), and Jennifer Smith (Shawn); nine great-grandchildren, Cole Kistler, Brianna Marcu, Brooklyn and Natalie Smith, Kaisley Marcu, Parker Ongman, Gianna and Mila Bello and Kamden Kistler.
Mary was married to the love of her life, the late Vernon Kistler, for 64 years. In addition, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Andrew, George, Joseph and John Jr.; sisters, Ann, Margaret and Helen; and grandsons, Timothy and Chad Kistler.
Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary. A service will be at noon Friday, June 21, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with burial at 2 p.m. in Bunker’s Memory Garden cemetery, all in Las Vegas.
