Nancy L. Wildman 1937-2024

GUSTAVUS — Nancy Lee Wildman, 86, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024.

She was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Warren, the daughter of Bernice Elizabeth Bailey and Grant Austin Hardy. Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Gustavus High School and a lifelong resident of Gustavus.

On April 26, 1958, she married Rodger Gerald Wildman. She was a teller for the former Mahoning National Bank of Cortland, from 1972 until she retired in 1997. Nancy was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church, as well as the Ladies Guild of the church and was a member of the Gustavus Mothers Club. She took part in planning the annual Homecoming Parade and festivities of the 4th of July celebration. Nancy was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She enjoyed embroidery work, watching birds, reading, traveling, dining out and spending time with her family and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Mildred Hardy; and two step-siblings, Donna Flowers and Larry Joe Hall.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Rodger of Gustavus; two daughters, Tammy Lynn (Paul) Fairchild of Champion, and Amy Robin (Thomas) Hyde of Cortland; four grandchildren, Mandy (Michael) Razzano, Melody (Josh) Cameron, Erica Hyde and Evan Hyde; two great-grandchildren, Harmony and Revin; stepsister, Sue Ellen (Charlie) Monroe of North Canton; and stepbrother, Richard Jefferson (Becky) Hall of Sheldon, Wisconsin.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Gustavus Federated Church, 8850 state Route 193, Gustavus, Ohio, with the Rev. Kimmy Farone officiating.

Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman.
