Barbara J. Irwin 1929-2024
NILES — Barbara J. Irwin, 94, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at Hospice House in Poland.
She was born March 5, 1929, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of Herbert E. and Mildred Roberts Johnson. She was employed at Penn Power and later at Merrill Lynch.
She was a member of Niles First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include children, Jeffrey and Mark Irwin and Julia Sanders, all of Niles, and Laurie Adgate of Warren; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Irwin; daughter, Pamela Latham; and one brother.
Interment will be in Castleview Memorial Gardens in New Castle, Pa.
Arrangements and cremation were by the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, Warren.
