Harlan Johnson 1955-2023

He was born Aug. 6, 1955, in Warren, a son of Harlan and Ruby Allendar Johnson.

Harlan was a 1973 graduate of Maplewood High School in Mecca. He attended Youngstown State University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and was employed with Hewlett Packard.

He enjoyed fishing and watching football and baseball.

Harlan is sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Doris Shaffer Johnson, whom he married July 25, 1978; two sons, Brock (Jessica) Johnson of Newton Falls and Harlan (Holly) Johnson of Ravenna; two brothers, Paul (Marsha) Johnson of Warren and Peter (Lorrie) Johnson also of Warren; three sisters, Kathy (Hugh) McAleer of Warren, Debbie Kajtar of Austintown and Joyce Arcuri of Austintown; and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his daughter, Jennifer Lovejoy and her husband Donald Lovejoy; and his sister, Pam Kinkle.

A caring cremation has taken place. No services will be held at this time.
