Catherine Brooks 1931-2023
NEWTON FALLS — Catherine Curtis Little Brooks, 92, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at Country Club Rehabilitation Campus following complications from an extended illness.
She was born July 4, 1931, in Soperton, Ga., the daughter of Jerry Curtis and Pauline Day Curtis Eason. She was employed with the Ravenna Arsenal for several years. Catherine was a member of Braceville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley B. Cruse of Newton Falls; two sisters, Eloise Lewis of Dry Branch, Ga., and Nancy Anthony of Warren; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brooks; stepfather, Lize Eason; one son, Hillard Little; and one sister.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Braceville First Baptist Church, where calling hours will be held one hour prior.
