John M. Barnett 1944-2021
BROOKFIELD — John M. Barnett, 77, of Brookfield and formerly of Warren, passed away at 3:48 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at home.
He was born Feb. 29, 1944, in Warren the son of the late Clyde T. and Anna G. Thompson Barnett and was a lifelong area resident.
John retired after 30 years employment at General Motors.
He is survived by his wife, the former Karen L. West, whom he married Aug. 5, 1968; three children, John (Jodi) Barnett of Windham, Joann Barnett of Newton Falls and Diane (Eric Ivan) Johanson of Casa Grande, Ariz.; siblings, Earl Barnett, Betty Jones, Peggy Feathers, Clyde Barnett, Leroy Barnett and Freda Barnett; and by seven grandchildren, Serena, Josh, Ryan, Bryan, Allen, Mandy and Adrianna; by 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
