Karen P. Felton 1957-2021
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Karen Felton passed away Monday, July 12, 2021, at 64, surrounded by her loving family. She was an amazing person with an incredibly kind, caring and loving spirit.
Karen was born to Joseph and Mary Putkovich on April 21, 1957. She was raised in Niles, graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1975, and went on to attend Cleveland State University. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area after earning her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 1981. She worked for California Children’s Services in San Francisco for over 30 years and in Oakland for six years. As a pediatric physical therapist, she touched the lives of an incredible number of kids, families and fellow therapists. She put her heart and soul into her work and it certainly showed.
She was a Hallmark movie enthusiast, semi-professional tea sommelier, passive sports fan, professional dog petter and cuddler and the sweetest woman who ever walked the face of the earth.
More than anything, she loved her family. She was so dedicated to her three children and was fully involved with their lives. She served as a Cub Scout Den Leader for over five years for both her sons and served as a Girl Scout co-Leader for 13 years for her daughter’s Girl Scout troops.
Karen was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joseph and Mary Putkovich Sisco.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Felton; three devoted children, Matthew, Bryant and Elise; siblings, Lynnette, Michael and Chris; and a large extended family.
