Berniece R. Krol 1922-2021
NEWTON FALLS — Berniece R. Krol, 98, passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at her son’s residence, where she has resided the past three years.
On April 19, 1922, in McKees Rocks, Pa., Berniece was born, the daughter of Frank and Julia Rydzak.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the Ravenna Arsenal.
Berniece enjoyed collecting angel statues.
Berniece was a founding member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she was the organist for many years, and she was a past president of the Madonna Club. Berniece was also active in many church functions. Later, she was a parishioner at SS. Mary and Joseph Parish.
She was a secretary and member of the Polish National Alliance Number 2347 of Newton Falls.
Cherished memories of Berniece will be carried on by sons, Thomas (Linda) Krol of Champion and Terry (Cindy) Krol of North Jackson; brother, Francis Rydzak; grandchildren, Kathy, Kristi, Kristopher, Melissa and Tarasa; and several great-grandchildren; stepgreat-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Berniece in death were her husband, Michael W. Krol; her daughter, Kathleen Krol; her son, Michael A. Krol; and her brothers, Walter, Anthony and Chester Rydzak.
Family and friends may call 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, and also from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Mary and Joseph Parish. Berniece will be laid to rest next to her husband, in Newton Township Cemetery.
