VIDEO: Man flees police, involved in fatal crash, officers say

WARREN – The first officer on scene of a deadly crash late Thursday told Trumbull County 911 dispatch, “start a squad, it’s gonna be pretty bad.”

Provided by Warren police, a survelliance video near the intersection of Parkman Road and West Market Street captured the moment of impact that left one person dead and another facing a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide.

According to the Trumbull County Coroner’s office, Anthony Blackwell, 34, of Warren, died as a result of the crash.

The official police report and identities of others involved in the five-vehicle have yet to be released.

What is known is the driver of the Toyota Pius, Joseph Myers, 31, who police say was fleeing from a traffic stop only moments earlier, appeared in court Friday. In addition to aggravated vehicular homicide, he is facing charges of failure to comply and felony assault.
