Crash in Niles sends three to hospital

NILES — A late Saturday crash on North Main Street near the intersection of East Madison Avenue sent an adult and two juveniles to the hospital. A Niles police report states the crash happened just before midnight after a vehicle hit a utility pole while being driven south on North Main Street across from the Dunkin. The road was closed Sunday morning as work crews spent time fixing the damaged utility pole. Traffic was rerouted to nearby streets.

BRACEVILLE — Township officials gathered last week to hear from the new head of the Ohio Township Association who addressed issues of concern for local communities. Kyle Brooks, the new executive director of the association, spent a day meeting with trustees and other officials from Braceville, Bristol, Champion, Bazetta and Newton townships. “I wanted to gather information on what issues are affecting the townships in Trumbull County to see what we can do at the state level to help them.
