WARREN — Four people pleaded guilty and three others were sentenced in felony cases in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court over the past week. • Gabriel Lofton, 37, Ward Street NW, Warren, was sentenced by Judge Sarah T. Kovoor to three years in prison after being convicted of one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, for possessing 21 grams of methamphetamine. New jobless claims rise in Ohio

Initial unemployment claims statewide jumped 1,613 last week, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported Thursday. Ohioans filed 7,719 initial unemployment claims May 31 through June 6. Ohioans filed 41,073 continued unemployment during the period, which was 1,483 more than the previous week. The total number of claims filed for the period was 48,792.
