Warren home shot up moments after threatening call

WARREN — Officers were unable to locate a suspect as they responded to reports of shots fired Thursday afternoon. According to a police report, dispatchers said a caller reported that someone was shooting at his house on Fifth Street SW and fled in a silver Kia SUV toward Tod Avenue. The officer spoke with the caller, who said he received a call around 3:30 p.m. from his nephew, who said he was going to kill him. HUBBARD TOWNSHIP — A Hubbard truck driver was killed when another semi struck him while he was outside his vehicle on Interstate 80 Thursday evening. With the use of Flock Safety automated license plate reader cameras coming under scrutiny, state Sen. Al Cutrona said he plans to introduce legislation to ensure information they collect is used appropriately.
