City man indicted in special grand jury report

WARREN — A Warren man was indicted in a special grand jury report Wednesday on charges of burglary, receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools. Corey C. Monroe, 34, of Iddings Avenue, also had a repeat violent offender specification added on to his burglary charge because he previously was convicted of committing or complicity in committing aggravated murder, murder, or an attempt to commit any of these offenses, the indictment states. Agency secures $2.15M in grants for Girard

GIRARD — KO Consulting has helped the city secure $2.15 million in grants in the nearly three years the city has had a contract with them. Man loses appeal in city shooting death

WARREN — A man convicted in the Aug. 3, 2025, point-blank range shooting death of another man outside a Warren convenience store lost an appeal at the 11th District Court of Appeals and will continue serving his 41.5 years-to-life sentence. David Hollie, 47, was convicted in October on charges of murder, having weapons under disability, tampering with evidence, failure to comply and receiving stolen property, all with firearm specifications. Hubbard officials want residents’ input on data centers

HUBBARD TOWNSHIP — One Hubbard Township trustee admitted that while he was against data centers, the choice would be up to residents to allow one into the community, as they learned of an interested developer. As part of his report Tuesday night, Trustee Jason Tedrow admitted that data centers weren’t really at the forefront for officials going into 2026. Trial date set for men accused of killing mail-carrier

With the trial date one month away, Thomas and Kaprise Sledge and their attorneys attended a hearing Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Cleveland in the March 2, 2024, murder of U.S. Postal Service carrier Jonte Davis, 33, on Warren’s north side.
