The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and MAGNET are seeking nominations for the Chamber’s 10th annual Excellence in Manufacturing Award, which recognizes a Valley manufacturer for excellence in longevity, growth and product or workforce innovation and achievement. Eligible manufacturers must be located in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull counties and be a member of the Regional Chamber or Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce. Firefighters sought for award

The Tribune Chronicle is seeking nominations for its annual Trumbull County Firefighter of the Year competition. Nominees will be evaluated on dedication, productivity, loyalty and professionalism. They must serve with a fire department in Trumbull County, be at least 18 and hold any rank below chief. Incident at Dems tent leads to arrest at fair

CANFIELD — A man was arrested by Mahoning County Sheriff’s deputies at the Mahoning County Democratic Party tent at the Canfield Fair on Sunday afternoon. Patrick Havas, 38, of Canfield, is at the Mahoning County jail on two charges of felony assault and one count of disorderly conduct, according to jail records.
