Warren OKs one-year data center moratorium

WARREN — City Council unanimously approved a one-year moratorium on data centers Wednesday during the first meeting after returning to council chambers after the August break. It places a moratorium on data center projects larger than 1,000-square-feet and directs Mayor Doug Franklin to establish a Data Center Review Committee. BAZETTA — Planned fiber-optic construction in the township has yet to receive required township permits, prompting officials to check whether contractors have already begun work.
