HOWLAND — A vacant township property could soon be wiped clean, thanks to funding from a state program for which officials signed up the township. Trustees at Wednesday’s meeting approved a resolution declaring a Niles Road structure a public nuisance and authorizing its demolition through the Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corporation, also known as the Trumbull County Land Bank. WARREN — A Hiram man said he went out Tuesday night to celebrate his 20th birthday, but ended up with two felony charges, a drunken driving charge and a badly damaged truck. Billy A. Man reports motorist with gun robbed him of e-bike

WARREN — A city man reported being robbed of his electric bicycle on Bonnie Brae Avenue NE near Cornell Street on Wednesday morning. The assailant threw the victim to the ground and punched him several times. When the victim fought back, the suspect went to his vehicle, got a gun and ordered the victim to put the bicycle in the suspect’s car and drove away. Today is the last day to nominate a Trumbull County firefighter for the Tribune Chronicle’s annual Trumbull County Firefighter of the Year competition. Nominees will be evaluated on dedication, productivity, loyalty and professionalism. They must serve with a fire department in Trumbull County, be at least 18 and hold any rank below chief.
