YOUNGSTOWN — Bishop David Bonnar said a Poland couple who has been married for 75 years could qualify for the Guinness Book of World Records. The Diocese of Youngstown hosted a special Mass at St. Columba Cathedral on Sunday celebrating 81 couples who have been married for 25 to 75 years for a total of 5,905 years. Mary Teresa Gabriele, 94, and John Gabriele, 99, of Poland, have been married for 75 years. Crash in Niles sends three to hospital

NILES — A late Saturday crash on North Main Street near the intersection of East Madison Avenue sent an adult and two juveniles to the hospital. A Niles police report states the crash happened just before midnight after a vehicle hit a utility pole while being driven south on North Main Street across from the Dunkin. The road was closed Sunday morning as work crews spent time fixing the damaged utility pole. Traffic was rerouted to nearby streets.
