BROOKFIELD — The Brookfield Fire Department is investigating a weekend fire that caused damage to a mobile home. Fire crews were called out early Sunday afternoon to the mobile home in the 1200 block of Greenwich Court. The residents and a family pet were able to get out safely, according to a fire report. Crews were able to get the fire under control and believe it may have started in the bathroom of the mobile home, the report states
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force has captured fugitive Jessica Dothard. She was wanted by the Youngstown Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service on an aggravated burglary charge. Dothard, 32, has been known to frequent the Youngstown, Akron and Cleveland areas.

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University’s board of trustees has approved a pair of new three-year contracts for two of the university’s unions. During a special meeting Friday morning in Tod Hall, the board unanimously approved the contracts for YSU’s Ohio Education Association and its Association of Classified Employees unions. The OEA represents the university’s faculty members; the ACE union represents various administrative, maintenance and support staff.
