Cortland police changing software to match Trumbull

CORTLAND — City Council approved an $8,600 software purchase as an emergency measure so the police department can remain compatible with changes coming to the Trumbull County 911 system. Council unanimously authorized police Chief David Morris to switch the department’s records-management software from ID Network to Sundance Systems Inc. Data center rules not yet ready

WEATHERSFIELD — Trustees have approved extending the township’s moratorium on data centers by six months to allow officials more time for research. Trustees at their meeting earlier this month said the zoning commission, law director Cherry Poteet and zoning inspector Kelly Clarke have been working on zoning regulations and guidelines for data centers. BRACEVILLE — A 25-year-old Leavittsburg man died in a two-vehicle accident on state Route 5 Friday night near the intersection of state Route 82 in what some people call the Center Of The World.
