WHAT: Trumbull County Educational Service Center meeting Monday

PRESENT: Denise Domhoff, Deborah Patchin, Carol Young, Laura Rubesich and Tom Krispinsky

The board:

• Approved Arlo Brookhart as superintendent designee to fill in when Superintendent Robert Marino is unable to serve. Brookhart, who serves as director of curriculum and instruction, holds a superintendent’s certificate.

• Approved the career navigator position and evaluation of the position. Brookhart said the career navigator will work with local businesses to make connections between students and the local workforce, including pre-apprenticeship programs, career pathways, career exploration and networking. He said the career navigator could work with officials from Vallourec, Windsor House and Foxconn.

• Set long-term substitute secretary pay at $15.50 per hour.

• Approved an agreement with Lordstown schools to provide technology coordinator services to the district.

• Approved an agreement with the Impact Group for a presentation at the school board leadership academy.
