WHAT: Board of education meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Kevin Blair, Dan Denman, Tori Wiltrout, Tom Donaldson and Dan Schwartz

The board:

• Heard from Superintendent Kevin O’Connell, who will handle the duties of elementary principal effective March 1 when principal Beth Goerig retires. O’Connell said the district will post for a new principal to start in the 2026-27 school year.

• Adopted the 2026-27 school calendar with the first day for students Aug. 24 and last day May 27, 2027.
