NILES — The city has entered an agreement with Eastern Power and Gas LLC to provide a natural gas aggregation program for residents and small businesses, according to Mayor Steven Mientkiewicz.

The opt-in program will be at a 19-month fixed rate of $4.60 per mcf for aggregation program members, and will run from March through October 2027.

A news release from the mayor states Eastern Power and Gas LLC will notify all city residents and small commercial customers of the program in the coming months through a letter, which will explain the rate, as well as terms and conditions.
