Man charged with robbery in Falls
NEWTON FALLS — A man is in Trumbull County jail after being accused of robbing a Dollar General Store over the weekend.
Newton Falls police Chief John Barco said James Fuell, 54, faces charges of aggravated robbery and felonious assault in connection with an armed robbery involving a knife at the Dollar General off Milton Boulevard Saturday evening.
Barco said police arrived at the store and found a man matching the description of the suspect in the parking lot. He said the man cooperated with police and was taken into custody.
Fuell is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday in Newton Falls Municipal Court.
Barco said Fuell is accused of entering the store, putting a knife to the back of an employee and demanding money from the cash register. He said police were able to recover $80 in cash from Fuell, which was the amount of money handed over by the cashier.
