WARREN — The Tribune Chronicle is seeking participants for its annual Veterans Day parade on Nov. 11.

The parade will begin immediately after the 11 a.m. ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Warren, which is approximately at 12:15 p.m.

The ceremony is being coordinated by the Trumbull County Veterans Service Commission.

The parade, which is sponsored by the Tribune Chronicle, begins immediately after the ceremony and the lineup will be in Perkins Park between the Women’s Park and Trumbull County Tourism Bureau. It will travel south on Mahoning Avenue past a review stand in front of the log cabin, then head east on Market Street, make a left on North Park and end at High Street.

Participants are asked to complete a parade registration form, which can be picked up at the newspaper office, 240 Franklin St. SE, Warren, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They also can be obtained by calling community events coordinator and parade marshal Sue Shafer at 330-841-1696 or via email at sshafer@tribtoday.com. The deadline to register is Wednesday.

Political candidates and current officeholders may not distribute fliers, but they can have a sign with their name and the office they hold or are seeking. Candy is allowed to be thrown with caution for the safety of others.

Parade units must be decorated with a patriotic theme.

Starting at $3.23/week.
