WHAT: City council meeting Monday

PRESENT: Bill Williams, Bonnie Viele, Robin Zambrini, Michael Mogg, Cathy Cummings, Jerome Crowe, Michael Kerr, Lorrie Brown and Ryan Hallapy

Council:

• Suspended the second and third reading of updating Chapter 905 of the city’s rights-of-way ordinance and approved passing it.

• Suspended the second and third reading of updating Chapter 945 of the comprehensive stormwater management standards and approved passing it.

• Gave first reading to a resolution authorizing the board of control to enter into a contract with Quasar Energy Group for pickup, hauling and disposal of dewatered sludge from the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

• Gave first reading to a resolution requiring any individual under the age of 16 operating a class I or a class II electric bicycle or electric scooter to wear a DOT helmet.

• Gave first reading to a resolution adopting an operating budget for the city and establishing annual appropriations in various city funds for the 2026 fiscal year.
