WHAT: Village council meeting Monday

PRESENT: Robert Bond, Ernie Bowen, Lamar Liming, Jamie Moseley, Jessica Blank, Howard Sheely and Mayor Jackie Woodward

Council:

• Approved Woodward signing an agreement with Buckeye Energy Brokers for natural gas aggregation services. Company officials said the rates are 3.99 per mcf through the end of March, with the senior citizen rate at 3.89 per mcf. Officials said Constellation Energy will only be doing electric aggregation in 2026. New rates after March are not determined yet, officials said.

• Set tree lighting for 6 p.m. Friday at the park by the fire department. Residents are asked to bring non-perishable food items for the police department to give to families during the holidays. Police Chief Brent Milhoan said food will be distributed for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

• Accepted a quote from Sundance Systems Inc. of Valley View to install a new computer-aided dispatch-bridge records management system and mobile data terminal system to update the police department’s CAD system at $15,200.

• Approved an agreement with Total Response by Power Phone from Sarasota, Florida, to provide an additional workstation license and software maintenance for the police department at $6,600.

• Announced a waterline project is being done today by the administration building, which will be closed.

• Heard from Village Engineer Chris Kogelnik that an application has been submitted for Ohio Public Works Commission funds for road resurfacing, curbing and other work on Henn Parkway. He said there also was an application submitted for a grant for the Board of Public Affairs to update the village water plan.
