Warren Township OKs promotions
WARREN TOWNSHIP — Township trustees at a special meeting Wednesday approved promotions in the police department, which officials said will help cut down on overtime.
Trustees promoted Daniel Barb to sergeant effective Saturday and promoted Dakota Main and Jamey Hoffmann from part-time to full-time patrolman, also effective Saturday.
Trustee Ed Anthony said with the promotions the police department is now at full staff.
Police Chief Ben Harrell said the promotions will help reduce overtime in the department. The department now has eight full-time officers and one part-time officer.
Barb has served as the school resource officer for LaBrae schools.
Trustees also approved having the property at 332 Burwell Road inspected by fire and zoning officials and the Trumbull County Health Department to determine if it is insecure, unsafe and structurally defective.
