WHAT: Township trustees meeting Sept. 2
PRESENT: Rebecca Whitman, Phil Wilhelm and William Burns
Trustees:
• Approved Bird’s Eye Landscaping at $3,500 to do landscaping work at the front of the township municipal building.
• Announced the 61st annual Apple Festival will be Sept. 19-21 at the township center. The parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 along state Routes 7 and 305.

WHAT: Board of education meeting Monday
PRESENT: Russell Sewell, Tim Gibson, Karen Ancell, Bradley Gamlin and Julia Shutt
The board:
• Heard from Superintendent Anthony Calderone that the new band shell may be completed by the end of October with a ribbon cutting to be scheduled. Brock Builders is doing the work at $293,000. The project has received many monetary donations.
• Approved participating with the Ohio Schools Council for seeking bids for a 72-passenger school bus chassis and body.
• Are conducting a survey online if residents would like to have the board meetings broadcast live.
