WHAT: Trustees meeting Tuesday
PRESENT: Ryan Yoho, Kay Anderson and Ed Anthony
Trustees:
• Approved a motion to oppose the tariffs that will negatively impact Tata Steel on West Market Street.
• Hired Drevon Carter as a part-time patrolman for the police department at $17.50 per hour.
• Approved promoting David King from fire captain to assistant fire chef and William Kohn from paramedic to deputy fire chief.
• Appointed Keith Smallsreed as fiscal assistant.
• Heard from Zoning Inspector Tyler Wilson that residents who want to help with updating the comprehensive plan can serve on a committee and can contact him. The next zoning meeting is Dec. 15.
• Heard from resident Nancy Ritz, who asked if more information on meetings and local events can be placed on the community sign at the township hall.
• Set trick or treat 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30.
• Accepted the resignation of Kira Mawhinney as a part-time emergency medical technician.
