Warren woman sentenced in shooting

WARREN — A 31-year-old Warren woman was sentenced to an indefinite five-to-six-year prison term for a shooting in April.

Jasmine L. Dawkins of Maryland Street NW received the sentence Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court from Judge Sean J. O’Brien.

Dawkins pleaded guilty in July to one count of felonious assault with a three-year gun specification.

The charge stemmed from an April 15, 2025, shooting investigated by Warren police, in which a man was shot in the right arm, requiring surgery.
