WHAT: Board of education meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Sam Caputo, Mark Bodo, Cheryl Basista, Joshua Garris and Tim Gleason

The board:

• Approved a new three-year agreement with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees AFSCME Local 4 AFL-CIO Local #722 from July 2025 to June 2028.

Treasurer Steve Haynie said the union represents 24 employees and will receive a 4% pay increase the first year, 3% the second year and 3% the third year. Haynie said cost to the district for the new agreement is $73,000 over three years,

• Entered into a three-year contract with the township police department for two school resource officers at a cost $100,0000 per year.

• Hired Ashley Cameron as a school nurse and Denise Murphy as a bus driver.

• Approved substitute bus drivers pay at $22.75 per hour.
