WHAT: Township trustees meeting Aug. 5
PRESENT: Rebecca Whitman, Phil Wilhelm and Bill Burns
Trustees:
• Approved pressure washing of the fire station at $8,400 and work on the front of the town hall, which includes replacing siding and landscaping, at $13,000.
• Approved new bulletproof vests for the police department.
• Approved purchase of a shop air compressor at $2,200 from Power Tool and Supply for the maintenance department.
• Approved purchase of a backhoe at up to $145,000 with officials to look at different businesses for the best price.
• Announced the annual apple festival is set Sept. 19 to 21 at the center, with the parade at 6 p.m. Sept. 20.
