Girl, 6, hurt in Warren shooting
WARREN — A 6-year-old girl was shot early Wednesday in the 2000 block of Montgomery Avenue NW.
A Warren Police Department news release states officers arrived at the Montgomery Avenue NW residence around 2:13 a.m. after a caller reported the incident involving her sister. The child was transported to St. Joseph Warren Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Police secured the crime scene, where bullet holes were found in the rear of the house.
Warren Police Criminal Investigative Unit detectives investigated at both the scene and the hospital.
Police are seeking information and have asked residents in the vicinity of Montgomery Avenue NW and Arthur Street NW to check their home security cameras.
