City man pleads guilty to drug trafficking charges

WARREN — A 47-year-old Warren man pleaded guilty to drug trafficking and possession charges Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Jason A. Orr of Ravenwood Drive Southeast, admitted to two counts of trafficking in cocaine and two counts of possession of cocaine, including one forfeiture specification. The second- and third-degree felony charges carry mandatory indefinite prison sentences.

Judge Sean J. O’Brien ordered a background investigation before sentencing.

The charges stem from a February 2024 investigation by the Trumbull County TAG anti-drug task force and Warren police Street Crimes Unit.

On Feb. 1, 2024, authorities found Orr with 15 grams of cocaine. Later that month, he sold about five grams of cocaine to two confidential informants on separate occasions.

A March 1, 2024, search of his home uncovered 25 grams of cocaine, $2,351 in cash, a Smith & Wesson revolver, an AR-15 and a 2014 Chevy Malibu used in drug deals.

Orr agreed to forfeit the cash, firearms and vehicle as part of a plea deal.

Starting at $3.23/week.
