3 arrested after fight at Harding football game

Police report states those involved were not students

WARREN — Three individuals were arrested for criminal trespass following a brawl involving 10 people at a high school football game in Warren Friday night.

Police apprehended Freddie Washington and Emmanuel Lee Washington, 21, both residents of Mason Street NW, along with the victim as they fled toward the Atlantic Street gate.

According to a Warren police report, the incident occurred around 9:13 p.m. Friday, at Mollenkopf Stadium, 860 Elm Road NE, during a Warren G. Harding High School football game. Officers on duty at the event responded to reports of yelling and fighting in a restricted area beneath the stadium.

Police observed several individuals striking each other, including one unidentified man assaulting another. The officers drew their stun weapons and ordered the group to disperse and get on the ground. Most of the individuals fled, but two juveniles complied and were detained. Additional officers were called to assist.

The victim, who had visible injuries including swollen eyes, a bruised face and a bleeding, crooked nose, was issued a summons and transported to St. Joseph Warren Hospital for treatment.

The Washingtons were arrested and taken to jail on a charge of criminal trespass. Another individual was detained but released and banned from school premises.

The report states that the individuals involved were not students.
