WEATHERSFIELD — Police are still investigating a crash that killed one man Wednesday night.

Weathersfield Township police Chief Mike Naples said Thursday that they are still looking for the driver of a semi truck that struck and killed a man on Ohio Machinery Boulevard, off Salt Springs Road, about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Naples said the truck left the scene.

The police report is far from complete, he said, but the victim is a male, he has been identified and police are in the process of notifying his family.

The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office is participating in the investigation, Naples said.
