WHAT: Township trustee meeting July 1

PRESENT: Todd Garland, Jeff Tucker and Dennis Kuchta

Trustees:

• Approved a contract with Kirila Contractors at $78,966 for a drainage project on Barclay Messerly Road with 68% of the costs covered by Ohio Public Works Commission funds.

• Approved an agreement with Alexander Pest Control for mosquito sprayings in July, August and September at $1,249 per spraying. This month’s spraying is July 17.

• Hired Sarah Waryas as a patrol officer for the police department.

• Heard from the property owner of 3652 Warren Ravenna Road, who voiced objection to demolition of the property. Trustees will give the owner one month to clean up the property, or the demolition will proceed.

• Heard complaints from residents about overgrown grass in properties off state Route 82,

• Adopted a policy on releasing body-worn camera footage.

• Announced “Touch a Truck” will be held noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 23.
