WARREN — Leonel L. Brown, 48, Summit Street NW, Warren, was convicted by a Trumbull County jury on a charge of menacing by stalking a minor, a fourth-degree felony, after a one-day trial before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean O’Brien.

The 17-year-old victim, a worker at the Walmart superstore in Bazetta, testified that Brown harassed her continually, which culminated with a confrontation Sept. 20, 2023, in which customers had to come to the teen’s aid.

Brown testified in his defense prior to the jury’s verdict after less than one hour of deliberation. Testimony also was given by two of the teen’s fellow Walmart employees.

After the verdict was read and the jurors polled, the judge continued Brown’s bond. He ordered a background investigation and psychological evaluation before sentencing.
