Application process open for Warren CDBG funds
WARREN — Applications are available for nonprofit groups interested in FY2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the city of Warren. Applications will be available upon email request to Susan Johnson, Community Development Program Specialist / Acting Community Development Program Coordinator, at sjohnson@warren.org.
Those unfamiliar with the process, especially first-time applicants, should contact Susan Johnson to schedule a one-on-one meeting to review the packet and ensure eligibility for the funding.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s CDBG Program provides eligible metropolitan cities with annual direct grants that may be used to revitalize neighborhoods, expand affordable housing and economic opportunities, or improve community facilities and services for low-to-moderate-income persons.
Applicants must be a local government office or nonprofit organization with a valid nonprofit tax-exempt status or have an agreement with a qualified local government or nonprofit that will act as the implementing agency. Applicants must be located in Warren and / or provide services to the citizens of Warren, must be able to document financial responsibility and must be current with all taxes.
The deadline to submit applications is 3:30 p.m. July 25, 2025.
