WHAT: Board of Education meeting May 19

PRESENT: Kevin Blair, Tami Morrison and Tom Donaldson

ABSENT: Dan Denman and Dan Schwartz

The board:

• Approved the Kinder Camp Aug. 4 to 8, which helps prepare students for kindergarten. Students spend 3.5 hours per day becoming familiar with school.

• Accepted the resignation of teacher Kimberly Cleer effective May 31 after 12 years in the district.

• Approved proceeding with getting cooling towers for the elementary school to ensure excess heat is removed from the heating, ventilating and air conditioning system to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.
