New parent tool kit provides facts on dangers of alcohol, drugs

WARREN — The Trumbull County Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition has partnered with Prevention Resources to provide parents with the tools and resources they need to talk to their elementary-age children about the dangers of alcohol and drugs.

The tool kit includes information on the dangers of alcohol, vaping, marijuana and prescription drugs, as well as tips on how to talk to children about these topics. The tool kit is available on the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board website, www.TrumbullMHRB.org, the coalition’s Facebook page and in print.

ASAP, a project of the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, is a coalition that engages in strategic partnerships to solve the community’s substance abuse problems.
